User Interface Design
About this subject
Analyse and identify UI design issues based on UI design principles.
Apply wireframe tools to both low-fidelity and high-fidelity UI prototype design.
Conduct UI evaluations with cognitive walkthrough and heuristic evaluation.
Use statistical methods to interpret and evaluate usability testing results.

User Interface (UI) Design focuses on creating interactive interfaces which are intuitive and easy to access and understand. This subject will introduce you to the main theories, methods and techniques that are applied to UI design and evaluation. Main topics include design thinking, user research analysis, iteration and prototyping, and user testing. Based on these UI theories and techniques, you will create mobile prototypes with wireframe tools and evaluate them with UI testing methods in practice classes and assignments.
- One UI design assignment (equivalent to 800 words) (20%)
- One UI programming assignment (equivalent to 800 words) (20%)
- Two tutorial works (equivalent to 400 words for each). (10%)
- One final exam (equivalent to 2000 words) (50%)
