In an era of rapid technological change and artificial intelligence, effective leadership is more important than ever. As the nature of work and organisations evolves, leaders need to understand themselves, engage and motivate others, make ethical decisions and lead responsibly through complexity and change. In this subject, you will critically examine key leadership theories and contemporary perspectives on responsible leadership across a range of workplace contexts. You will develop greater awareness of your own leadership style, strengths and areas for development, while building practical capabilities in motivating and engaging others, facilitating collaboration, decision-making, communication and influence, and leading change. Through analysing and solving real-world leadership problems, you will learn to draw on evidence and leadership theory to analyse complex situations, make informed decisions and translate leadership knowledge into effective practice.
