About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. have an advanced understanding of the forces driving change in the economy and the growing importance of intellectual capital;
    2. be able to explain the impacts of technological change on industries and organizations;
    3. be able to use a range of theoretical perspectives to interpret and critically evaluate the changing nature of work and work arrangements;
    4. be able to identify and explain the changing dynamics of employment relations and the implications for workers and managers;
    5. have an understanding of human and intellectual capital management systems and frameworks relevant to the changing world of work;
    6. be able to critically evaluate and compare policies and strategies for addressing the future of work from a variety of international perspectives.

Study load
