About this subject

  • After successfully completing this subject you should be able to:

    1. describe and evaluate current approaches to offender risk and needs assessment
    2. explain the principles of effective correctional intervention
    3. describe evidence-based interventions for offenders
    4. identify the strengths and limitations of individual-level interventions conducted with different offender and offence populations
    5. evaluate empirical studies on the effectiveness of psychological interventions with offenders
