About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- Define a financial market including the various types and roles of financial markets, the roles, functions and operations of banks and nonbank financial institutions, and the important operational and institutional issues involved in international markets.
- Critically discuss the function, and current settings of, relevant financial regulation, regulators and the supervisory framework.
- Analyse the concept of sustainability as it relates to the finance sector and the opportunities and challenges posed by the environment, governance and society.
- Demonstrate effective means of communicating technical and contemporary information to stakeholders.
