• What you'll learn

  At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

  1. apply understanding of the discipline and the Australian Curriculum to evaluating, planning and resourcing authentic arts education practices
  2. demonstrate a competent standard of arts literacy in the making and responding strands of the arts curriculum sufficient to implement authentic, inquiry-based learning experiences
  3. create an inquiry-based sequence of arts lessons in accordance with the principles and content in the Australian Curriculum: The Arts that present challenging and authentic learning opportunities for a nominated age group
  4. design and implement an arts learning experience appropriate for the children’s school age that involves safe, responsible and ethical practices and reflects authentic arts learning principles
  5. evaluate arts teaching and learning through a learning advancement cycle framework

Entry requirements

Part of a degree

To enrol in this subject you must be accepted into one of the following degrees:

Core

• CUR-PRI-MAS-2023 - Master of Teaching (Primary Education)

Elective

• CUR-EDU-GCE-2023 - Graduate Certificate in Education

  Access to Microsoft Office or a unit approved alternative, access to video creation and editing software.
