About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. identify the main areas that form health psychology and list different methods of understanding them
    2. compare and contrast different approaches to understanding health behaviours
    3. explain the complex interplay between physical well-being and biological, psychological, and social factors
    4. compare intentional and non-intentional adherence to health behaviours and explain ways to target changing these behaviours
    5. demonstrate academic integrity, effective information search strategies and referencing skills required for tertiary study.
