About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. identify modern, post-modern and contemporary architectural and cultural movements in relation to their underpinning theoretical and philosophical frameworks
    2. interpret the wider cultural, historical, social and political relationships that invest architectural artefacts and/or the urban sphere
    3. critique architectural artefacts and/or the urban sphere through application of theoretical frameworks
    4. formulate critical insights into theoretical and philosophical frameworks.

To enrol in this subject, you must be admitted into a degree.

Level 3 subjects normally assume an introductory level of prior knowledge in this area, eg for this subject the completion of BAS220 and BAS250. Ensure all Level 2 subjects have been completed.
