This is a course for students who are new to their chosen major area of study. This subject develops students&#39; understanding of cultural, academic and professional integrity in a business context. Students will reflect on their own cultural background, and consider how this impacts on communication with diverse cultures including Indigenous Peoples. By applying knowledge about global and Indigenous cultures, and ways of working that are respectful, students will develop capability to communicate responsibly and in ways that are aligned with varied audiences. This capstone subject consolidates your prior learning - especially in Web Media - by connecting theoretical principles to applied practice through a socially engaged digital project. You&#39;ll begin by writing a solo proposal on an issue or opportunity that matters to you, while exploring ideas like design justice (creating media with equity and inclusion in mind), civic imagination (using media to imagine better futures), and critical creation (thoughtful, purposeful digital making). Next, in small teams, you’ll select, design, and produce a public-facing digital project.
