Professor Allie Clemans is Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) and Senior Vice-President, Monash University.

Professor Clemans is a highly regarded education researcher with particular expertise in professional learning and lifelong learning policies in Australia. An inspiring educator and visionary leader, Professor Clemans holds a record of remarkable educational leadership—as Associate Dean in the Faculty of Education and Pro Vice-Chancellor Learning and Teaching at Monash University. Drawing upon her extensive experience bridging industry and education, she has designed and led numerous professional learning programs for leaders across national and international industry and education sectors. Notably, her collaboration with Women’s Health Victoria in response to the Royal Commission on Family Violence influenced the design of a ground-breaking vocational training course on gender equity.

Professor Clemans embodies a deep commitment to driving innovative approaches to enrich the student experience. As leader of the Monash Education Academy, she ensured the University was positioned to address the learning needs of academic staff across campuses, raising the profile of excellent teaching and learning and the visibility of staff who deliver life-changing learning to students. By steering these transformative measures, Professor Clemans significantly elevated teaching quality, education recognition and support for teaching across the University.
