Café and Restaurant Manager
Café and Restaurant Managers run the day to day operations of cafés, restaurants and other food services. They are responsible for organising and overseeing employees, catering and special events and ordering supplies for the establishment. They must ensure that the facility maintains strong customer service and adheres to all health and safety regulations.
Café and Restaurant Managers generally work indoors in a variety of cafés, restaurant or fast food settings. They may work directly in the café or restaurant, as well as in the back storage room and in the kitchen to oversee operations. They may be required to stand for long periods at a time as they assist customers and oversee operations of the facility. They may work nights, early mornings, late evenings, holidays and weekends depending on store hours.
