Car Salesperson
Car Salespersons work for dealerships that may represent major manufacturers selling new cars, commercial vehicles or used cars. It is vital for car salespersons to connect with customers to identify their needs and desires in an automobile, as well as budget to identify the most suitable car for each individual customer and to maximize sales.
Duties and tasks
- Ability to manage daily selling activities including contacting new potential customers and spending time appropriately to maximise sales
- Arrange visual displays in the showroom to attract potential buyers
- Complete required paperwork for customers and dealership to complete sales process and initiate loan services
- Confidence and excellent communication skills when dealing with the public and encouraging sales
- Guide customers through sales process and personal finance issues
- Motivated and committed to meeting individual sales goals
- Strong customer service skills and ability to identify needs and desires of customer to show them the best automobiles to meet their needs

Working conditions
Car Salespersons typically work in an indoor dealership office setting, but are required to show various cars to customers as necessary. Individual commissions from the cars sold are an important aspect of this position, and therefore Cars Salespersons must be committed to meeting or exceeding sales goals.
