Motor Vehicle and Vehicle Parts Salespersons are responsible for selling cars and other vehicles, as well as parts for those vehicles. They may sell cars, trucks, boats, campers, large construction equipment, or vehicle parts or accessories.

Duties and tasks

  • Finalizing the sales of cars and other vehicles
  • Managing inventory and placing orders as needed
  • Picking out vehicles to show to customers
  • Speaking with customers to determine desires and specifications
  • Taking orders for parts sales
  • Test driving vehicles with potential buyers
  • Working with customers to determine the need for parts for already-purchased vehicles

Working conditions
