Glass Maker

Glass Makers use machinery and hand tools to fabricate, finish, and polish glass. The work may also involve mixing and processing other substances to assist in the glass-making process.

Duties and tasks

  • Finishing and smoothing glass edges
  • Monitoring and adjusting the temperature of newly molten glass
  • Operating glass-making machinery and hand tools
  • Setting up and working with glass moulds and casters
  • Using moulds to form glass into specific shapes for commercial products
