Conveyancer and Legal Executive

Conveyancers and Legal Executives provide a host of specialized services for their clients as well as on behalf of their clients. They are able to handle many legal aspects including preparing and administrating wills, property transfers, creating trusts and litigation. Conveyancers and Legal Executives can also provide their clients with sound advice regarding personal, business and corporate law.

Duties and tasks

  • Conduct research and investigations
  • Delegate tasks to legal assistants and secretaries
  • Handling title searches
  • Interview clients regarding legal issues
  • Investigating planned developments and potential legal issues associated with a property
  • Maintain client records and legal files
  • Maintain log of time spent working for each client
  • Negotiate all aspects of real estate deals
  • Prepare and execute legal documents
  • Prepare cases for litigation
  • Prepare, examine and advice clients on real estate sales contracts and mortgage contracts
  • Take statements from clients and witnesses
