Duties and tasks
- Assigns teaching positions and oversees faculty and staff
- Communicates with parents and students regarding concerns, recognitions or changes
- Gives input to in-house policies and procedures
- Hires, trains and evaluates teachers and staff
- Oversees the educational program of an educational institution or a department within the institution
- Provides staff development opportunities

Working conditions
