Branch Manager Financial Services
Branch Managers (Financial Services) are responsible for coordinating and directing the operational functions of financial institutions such as banks, building societies or credit unions. They oversee front-office operations, provide high levels of customer service and direct regular team meetings and training sessions.
Duties and tasks
- Advise customers on various financial products and interview loan applicants
- Direct regular team/staff meetings
- Ensure a high level of customer service is being adhered to at all times
- Meet with customers and resolve any problems or complaints
- Monitor sales targets
- Oversee operational functions of the branch and provide solutions to any issues
- Plan and implement business plans and manage business records and financial statements
- Promote and market the institution and its products
- Provide mentorship, training and direction to staff

Working conditions
Branch Managers (Financial Services) usually work in an indoor office environment. A typical work week is Monday through to Friday, however at busy times they may be required to work overtime and occasional weekends. Some travel between branches may also be necessary.
