Statistical Clerk
Statistical Clerks utilise statistical formulas to compile and compute data. Clerks gather information to be used by statisticians, which often is represented by charts and graphs.
Duties and tasks
- Devises charts, graphs and reports
- Enters data into computer programs
- Gathers statistics from a variety of sources
- Interviews people and complies responses
- Maintains and updates databases
- Uses statistical formulas to compute and analyse data
- Verifies that information is accurate

Working conditions
Statistical Clerks spend a good portion of their work days in front of a computer in a small office area. Statistical Clerks need to be able to focus on large amounts of data for several hours a day. The job is typically Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week.
