Sustainable Tourism Development

About this subject

  • Upon completion of this subject, the student should be able to:

    1. Critically analyse impact of breadth of indicators and evaluation system that have been designed for the tourism and cultural heritage industries.
    2. Critically assess the integration of sustainable development and sustainable tourism into local, national and international government policy.
    3. Critically evaluate the application and challenges of sustainable development and sustainable tourism to different jurisdictions and businesses.
    4. Effectively communicate sustainable tourism principles to a range of tourism and cultural heritage stakeholders.

To enrol in this subject you must be accepted into one of the following degrees:

  • TAS-SCM-GDI-2023 - Graduate Diploma of Strategic Communication

Additional requirements

  • Attendance requirements - Students are required to attend a face-to-face session from the Cradle Coast and at Cradle Mountain National Park campus in week 3. The session is in an intensive block mode, over 4 days. Attendance is compulsory.
