About this subject
Upon the successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Identify and explain the key principles of Supply Chain Management
- Analyse Supply Chain practices and impacts on organisations
- Identify, analyse and evaluate the organisational integration and practice of contemporary logistics and supply chain management
- The evolution of logistics and supply chain management
- The function of supply chain management in the organisation
- Supply chain networks and technologies
- Value chains and supply chain relationships
- Lean and agile supply chains
- Ethical supply chains
- The competitiveness and future challenges of supply chains
This subject will provide an overview to contemporary Logistics and Supply Chain concepts and practice in a range of industry settings, within Regional, State, National and Global environments. You will learn about the various contemporary aspects of supply chains, including Value Chains, Lean and Agile Supply, Ethical Supply Chains and other issues and approaches, through the practice of case studies and organisational analysis.
