About this subject

  • Upon successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:

    1. Explore and describe the socio-cultural patterns and dimensions of ageing
    2. Critically consider experiences of, and attitudes to, ageing across countries and cultures including Indigenous communities
    3. Critically evaluate the use of language as applied to ageing and ageing-related health conditions and interventions
    4. Examine and reflect on your own beliefs and values with respect to ageing and ageism
