About this subject
On completion of this unit, you will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to identify individual learning needs related to alcohol and other drugs and enhance evidence-based practice through independent self-directed learning.
- Show evidence of critical analysis and synthesis of scholarly and evidence-based literature within the alcohol and other drugs field.
- Present professional portfolio entries that comprehensively demonstrate fulfilment of self-identified learning outcomes in relation to alcohol and other drugs.

This unit is self-directed, experiential and practice focused. Students will demonstrate the development and application of their knowledge and skills in the area of addiction through the development of an extensive portfolio of evidence. The portfolio should reveal enhanced understandings of the complex health needs of individuals and families across a range of settings and best practice interventions in addiction management.
