This subject provides underpinning skills, techniques, and strategies to prepare you for university-level study. You will learn practical skills and be introduced to concepts that you will apply in other units of study. These include effective study techniques, note-taking methods, reflective writing, giving oral presentations, time and stress management strategies, revision techniques, and exam preparation. In addition, you will explore theories surrounding motivation, critical thinking, and culture shock. The overarching aim of this subject is to support you to develop your learning style, and to be successful in your future university studies.
