About this subject
Upon completion of this subject, the student should be able to:
- Identify, define and justify a business research problem
- Critically review any relevant literature for a business research project
- Select and justify appropriate data collection and analysis techniques
- Interpret and evaluate data analysis results
- Discuss the managerial implications relevant to the maritime, transport, logistics and related fields arising from a business research project

This subject is more suitable for students in final year of their master program. In this subject, students will apply relevant research methods and knowledge gained from other units to carry out an industry research project. Students will work independently under the guidance and supervision of research-active academic staff. The industry research project should be related to the field of maritime and logistics management. It is highly recommended that the project focuses on real-life, practical management issues especially at work. The knowledge and skills gained from the subject are expected to enable students to carry out rigorous and independent research to gain in-depth knowledge of the subject matter for their future career development.
