About this subject

  • Upon successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:

    1. Understand the structure and functionality of ports.
    2. Analyse and adapt management practices to improve operational efficiency
    3. Apply theoretical and practical knowledge to improve port safety outcomes.
    4. Identify environmental and regulatory issues currently confronting ports and their development.
    5. Demonstrate an ability to research topics and apply learning to current port operating practices.
