About this subject
Upon completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Analyse theories that guide practices of integrated care in the delivery of health services across Australian communities.
- Identify, evaluate and prioritise integrated care models for healthcare settings of different contexts.
- Assess and improve KPIs for integrated care from the perspective of different stakeholders.
- Appraise the management challenges and opportunities associated within inter-professional collaborative practice across the continuum of care.
- Judge future practices, theories and challenges for integrated care within the whole systems perspective.

The subject enables students to examine the foundation of integrated care in health and across Australian communities. There is a specific focus on investigating inter-professional collaboration and practice for the delivery of whole of person care. Students will examine and evaluate integrated care models and their suitability for different healthcare contexts. Students will critically appraise integrated care KPI’s to achieve efficient and effective healthcare services. Students will have opportunities to hear from experts across Australia and participate in industry case studies and analysis.
