About this subject

  • Upon completion of this subject, the student should be able to:

    1. Reflect upon different perspectives and experiences of health and wellbeing to inform understanding of, and responses to, the identified needs of diverse population groups.
    2. Explain how biological, sociological, cultural, environmental and lifestyle determinants impact health and wellbeing.
    3. Identify and interpret the factors that guide action on the determinants of health.
    4. Use health literacy and communication skills to promote health and wellbeing
