About this subject

  • Upon successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:

    1. Define the scope of e-health
    2. Analyse the drivers and challenges influencing the emergence and success of telemedicine, telehealth and other applications
    3. Link e-health to strategic directions of health care systems
    4. Discuss e-health services from the perspective of different stakeholders
    5. Analyse changes in the consumer/health professional relationship
    6. Discuss relevant standards for e-health applications
    7. Demonstrate an understanding of technical aspects of e-health applications
    8. Develop a project plan for an e-health program
    9. Describe some evaluation strategies for an e-health projects
