About this subject

  • Upon successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:

    1. Describe and evaluate the sources of law and legal principles relating business trading structure
    2. Describe the sources of law and legal principles relating to consumers
    3. Research legal principles and knowledge (statute law and case law) using problem solving skills in a variety of situations
    4. Demonstrate an understanding of the estate planning process
    5. Evaluate the importance of trusts (including testamentary trusts) and asset protection
