About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. explain the roles and responsibilities of engineering practitioners, managers and leaders
    2. apply basic principles, techniques and practices of engineering project
    3. discuss the non-technical aspects of engineering management and practice, including human, social, ethical, environmental, legal, economic and cultural factors
    4. select information from a range of sources and critically review complex contemporary engineering issues
    5. communicate with greater effectiveness and confidence in meetings, presentations, professional networking, interviews and negotiations.
