About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. understand and apply the physical principles underlying energy conversion processes
    2. understand and apply the principles of energy efficiency as applied to thermal processes
    3. identify, plan and implement an energy recovery and energy savings program
    4. understand the energy and associated flows in industry, transport and buildings
    5. conduct energy audits in industry, transport and buildings
    6. understand, evaluate and ethically apply environmental, social and economic ramifications of different energy scenarios
