About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. Identify sources of business law and explain how legal principles shape the business environment and affect business practice and decision making
    2. Compare legal forms of doing business
    3. Identify and analyse the legal requirements of commercial transactions
    4. Identify and discuss the legal requirements of creating and protecting proprietary rights in business assets, including goodwill and intellectual property rights
    5. Describe the legal requirements of an employment relationship, and identify the legal rights and duties that arise during the degree of the employment relationship
    6. Discuss and analyse the legal principles that businesses must comply with when dealing with consumers.
