  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. demonstrate a comprehensive awareness of specific events, personalities, terminology and values to be found in Australian society
    2. comprehend the development of Australia in terms of its complexity and the interaction of various factors and actors
    3. identify theories and methodologies to an understanding of a range of themes in Australian society
    4. Identify the various social, economic and cultural positions of Australians
    5. Discuss judgements made about Australian society, and debate their validity
