About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. develop an analysis of a cross-section of Aboriginal writing, biography, artistic expression and Aboriginal authored critique to place Aboriginal writing, and creative expression within the broader Australian culture
    2. identify and compare central themes and issues within the texts examined
    3. analyse the texts within a range of contemporary theory
    4. critically compare Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal representations within the texts.
