About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. identify the basic structures, values and features of a variety of Australian Aboriginal societies
    2. identify and explain a variety of ecological and historical factors shaping the diversity of Aboriginal cultures in Australia
    3. reflect on Aboriginal concepts relating to land, relationships and language
    4. discuss approaches to the study of Aboriginal societies and relevant literature.
