About this subject

  • Upon successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:

    1. Examine the multifaceted task of combating trafficking in persons
    2. Discuss policing efforts by law enforcers, victim service providers, policy makers, civil society and other relevant actors to prevent and combat trafficking
    3. Evaluate policies and practices concerning the protection and assistance of victims, including rehabilitation, access to remedy and compensation
    4. Assess (cooperative) efforts by national and international (non-)government bodies that seek to address human trafficking.
