• What you'll learn

  Upon completion of this subject, students will be able to:

  1. demonstrate informed theoretical knowledge of transnational and international trends and developments in crime and criminal justice;
  2. identify and critically assess convergences and divergences in criminal justice through comparison of Australian arrangements with other jurisdictions;
  3. critically analyse the ethical dimensions of criminal justice practices, notably in relation to international principles of Human Rights, with the ability to transmit this knowledge to others; and
  4. independently evaluate the strengths and limitations of undertaking comparative research studies of crime and criminal justice.
