About this subject

  • Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:

    1. identify and synthesise knowledge of the structure and function of the human body to an introductory depth and breadth of detail as appropriate for a beginning professional in health and community services;
    2. apply knowledge of the structure and function of the human body to evaluate and report on the health status of clients at an introductory level as required for a beginner in the health and social care sectors;
    3. analyse client health status in relation to the availability of specific health and social services;
    4. plan, design, evaluate and communicate client health plans aligning client needs; and
    5. identify, analyse, act on and communicate on work health and safety processes relevant to client's health status by individuals and by supervisors.
