Strategic Project Management for Sport and Events

About this subject

  • Upon completion of this subject, the student will be able to:

    1. demonstrate a well-developed knowledge of project management principles and approaches as they apply to sport and events;
    2. use a range of cognitive and communication skills to identify, evaluate and compare relevant information from a range of sources on current frameworks used in the practice of project management in order to demonstrate judgement and analytical skills in solving sometimes complex sport business-related problems;
    3. work independently and/or collaboratively to plan and execute tasks to enhance professional knowledge and skills; and
    4. demonstrate the ability to recognise, reflect on, and respond appropriately to a range of ethical, cultural or social issues influencing the practice of project management in the context of sport and events.
