• Attendance requirements - There is a non-mandatory 2 day intensive school for this subject which students may choose to attend. The Intensive School will be held at the UNE Sydney campus in Parramatta, NSW if sufficient students commit by the date specified by the unit coordinator. Students are strongly encouraged to attend, as the Intensive School will offer activities that boost pronunciation and oral skills development. Dates for this intensive school to be advised.
• Equipment requirements - Headphones or speakers (required to listen to lectures and other media) Headset, including microphone (highly recommended) Webcam (may be required for participation in virtual classrooms and/or media presentations).

Join millions of people worldwide who speak Italian for business or in their daily lives.  This is the second intermediate language subject that develops your ability to communicate in and understand Italian at an enhanced level.  This subject completes the revision of grammatical areas introduced in first-year Italian and continues a focus on the reading and appreciation of appropriate texts.  You will further develop your knowledge of Italian culture through the use of intermediate texts for language practice dealing with various aspects of Italian history, arts and lifestyle.
