Digital Learning - Implementing School Based Environments
About this subject
Upon completion of this subject, students will be able to:
- develop strategies for the implementation of digital technologies in school-based settings;
- prepare a plan for the utilisation or management of digital resources in school-based settings;
- use a range of digital technologies for teaching, training, management or administrative purposes; and
- demonstrate a leadership approach in advising colleagues on aspects of the application and management of digital technologies.
- Topics will be available to enrolled students in the subjects Learning Management System site approximately one week prior to the commencement of the teaching period.
This subject deals with issues relating to the implementation and management of digital technologies in school-based settings. It is aimed at in-service and pre-service teachers; School ICT coordinators; and educational leaders who have already acquired a working knowledge of the basic applications of digital technologies in education and who wish to increase their knowledge and skills so that they can become effective leaders and facilitators in digital learning.
Assessment 1: 900 words (or equivalent). Relates to Learning Outcomes 1-4
Assessment 2: 1500 words (or equivalent). Relates to Learning Outcomes 1-4
Assessment 3: 3600 words (or equivalent). Relates to Learning Outcomes 1-4- Assessment 1: Formative Quizzes (15%)

- Assessment 3: Negotiated Task (60%)
