About this subject
Upon completion of this subject, students will be able to:
- express a view on the nature and purpose of ICT in education, training or workplace contexts;
- develop strategies for incorporating ICT into education or workplace training programs;
- assist with the implementation of an ICT education or training program in such areas as policy development and staff professional development;
- prepare a plan for managing ICT resources in a school or workplace context;
- use a range of ICT resources for teaching or training environment management and administrative purposes; and
- demonstrate a leadership approach in advising colleagues on aspects of ICT resource management.

This subject deals broadly with a number of issues relating to the management of information and communication technology (ICT) education and training programs and resources, and to the use of ICT as management tools. It is aimed at educators, trainers, ICT coordinators, and educational administrators who have already acquired a working knowledge of the basic applications of ICT in education and training and who wish to increase their knowledge and skills in the area of ICT resource management so that they can become effective leaders and facilitators for ICT education and training.
