About this subject

  • Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:

    1. demonstrate an understanding of choral and instrumental conducting techniques in a variety of contexts;
    2. demonstrate practical competency in conducting skills and musical leadership;
    3. critically evaluate the use and application of musical communication and leadership strategies as they apply in different music-making scenarios; and
    4. critically analyse ensemble leadership methodologies suitable for use in school music programs.
