• What you'll learn

  Upon completion of this subject, students will be able to:

  1. identify genres central to the study of English literature as a foundation for further study;
  2. demonstrate knowledge of key terms and conventions in English literary studies;
  3. apply skills in close reading and analysis of literary texts, including an understanding of literary techniques and the language of literary analysis;
  4. analyse the multiple ways in which texts produce meaning, and the relationship between form and content; and
  5. integrate reading, writing and research skills in the critical interpretation of literary texts.

Entry requirements

Part of a degree

To enrol in this subject you must be accepted into one of the following degrees:

Core

• UNE-SPE-DEG-2023 - Bachelor of Special and Inclusive Education (Primary)

Elective

• UNE-ART-DIP-2023 - Diploma in Arts

Others

Candidature in the Diploma in Arts or the bachelor of Special and Inclusive Education Primary.
