Communication for Business
About this subject
Upon completion of this subject, students will be able to:
- recognise the role of communication and creativity in business, and devise and communicate creative solutions to business-related problems;
- employ reflection, self-awareness and emotional intelligence to develop a professional identity;
- manage individual and collaborative work processes; and
- recognise, analyse, and respond appropriately to a range of ethical, cultural and social issues.
- Topics will be available to enrolled students in the subjects Learning Management System site approximately one week prior to the commencement of the teaching period.
Communication for Business provides students with a foundational knowledge of the role of communication, creativity and professional identity in business. This subject will equip students with the skills to understand self and others and to interact individually and collaboratively with different stakeholders in professional situations. Students will apply this knowledge to business problems.
Online Activities: Online formative activities over the course of the unit. 2000 words. Relates to Learning Outcomes (LOs) 1-4
Written Task: The written task may assess a variety of skills taught in the unit. 1500 words. Relates to Learning Outcomes (LOs) 1-4
