• What you'll learn

  Upon completion of this subject, students will be able to:

  1. demonstrate an advanced understanding of  select areas of tort law that raise issues of the interaction between common law and statute and the inter-relation between concepts used in different torts;
  2. use critical thinking skills and exercise judgement in analysing select rules of tort law, their relationship with other part of tort law and other areas of law, and their underlying social, economic and political contexts; and
  3. use initiative and judgement to identify and construct a persuasive and coherent legal argument that evidences appropriate knowledge of tort law principles and applies those principles to concrete facts situations.
