About this subject

  • Students who successfully complete this subject will be able to:

    1. Identify the use of an aspect or application of modern astrophysics
    2. Demonstrate detailed knowledge of a particular aspect of astronomy & astrophysics
    3. Develop and identify a scientific justification which includes a research plan, the project aims, objectives and expected outcomes
    4. Demonstrate independent research
    5. Design and create a comprehensive record of research methodologies and references/resources utilised
    6. Design and create a detailed project report of techniques used, investigations undertaken and conclusions reached
    7. Design and create a short poster summary of results
