About this subject
On successful completion of this subject you will be able to:
- Demonstrate a broad, critical and practical understanding of technical and theoretical of recent developments in the management accounting discipline and areas of professional practice
- Demonstrate the creativity and initiative to new situations in professional practice and/or for further learning
- Apply the concepts and theories of management accounting to practices in the real world
- Develop communication, technical and research skills to justify and interpret conceptual propositions, methodologies, conclusions and professional decisions to specialist and non-specialist audiences.

Strategic Management Control Systems provides you with the opportunity to look at the concepts of management accounting as a system for recording, processing, reporting and analysing of information for costing and managerial decision making. It also aims to raise your awareness to the significant organisational and social changes in a range of industries and organisations which have dramatically affected the environment and functions of management accounting systems.
This subject includes a work integrated learning experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a simulated workplace context and where feedback from industry and/or community is integral to your experience.
