About this subject
On successful completion of this degree you will be able to:
- Critically analyse and research a complex hypothetical problem to identify relevant issues
- Conduct independent research to identify and utilise materials relevant to the hypothetical problem and develop submissions or preparation documents
- Demonstrate sophisticated presentation skills through rehearsal for an external competition
- Demonstrate effective collaboration skills by working in a team.
External competitions provide the opportunity for students to compete in national and international simulations. In this course you will work in teams on a specific hypothetical problem in an approved external competition. Your participation in the competition will be assessed on your preparation work. You will research the issues involved in the hypothetical competition, draft written submissions/documents and deliver oral arguments/presentations in a rehearsal prior to the competition. You will demonstrate teamwork skills in preparation for the external competition.
