About this subject
Upon successful completion of this subject you will be able to:
- Interpret the broad range of research designs applicable to exploration of business problems
- Identify, determine and communicate research designs to explore relevant aspects of a complex and ambiguous business problem
- Develop, evaluate and communicate options for innovative business design based upon a business model design approach.
Expanding on the above, you will be able to:
- Develop business models, and justify and communicate business models developed, subjectising strategic design that address complex business problems
- Identify, determine, communicate and implement appropriate research designs to explore assumptions inherent within a value proposition of a business model that addresses a wicked problem
- Develop, evaluate and communicate a research plan/proposal that addresses research questions within innovative business models based upon a business model design approach.

This subject is designed to prepare students for the type of problems they will encounter in contemporary business by providing them with knowledge and skills to undertake business research on an individual and group basis, to identify and explore complex problems from multiple perspectives, and to design innovative options in response to them, through the use of live case studies.
